[SWLUG] sound card interference from konqueror?

i have an sblive value card which i use over the built in mobo sound because 
there are no problems with multiple streams accessing the dsp at once, i 
rarely don't have music playing so i was surprised today during some silence 
to hear a very quiet 'buzz' when i moved the mouse scroll wheel or used the  
cursor keys to scroll in konqueror, also if i paged up or down, if i focus on 
the desktop and scroll the wheel or use the cursor keys - no buzz! so far i 
can't reproduce the buzz in any other app! i've also turned the monitor off 
during these experiments which made no difference. does it make sense for a 
use of a single app to produce some kind of interference? the buzz occurs 
even after i mute the sound in the mixer so i assume it's some kind of 
interference, though as i write it occurs to me that that could mean the 
amplifer or speakers and not the sound card, though the sound card is the 
likely candidate, it being in close proximity to the rest of the computer.
i don't really expect a solution :) but i'd be interested to hear if this has 
happened to anyone else, also it is not a huge problem since the buzz is 
swamped when i have music playing, which is nearly always
