According to LXF magazine, The Gimp uses its own printing system
independant of the OS, except for the very latest version (2.4). If
you've recently been able to print, but have done an update, check the
version you are now using. I'm thinking it was printing fine before on
Gimp's old printing system, but if its updated, its now looking at the
OS'es.
Speaking of which, I take it you've been able to print through other
software before? Which distro is it? It should have a printer setup
somewhere (Ubuntu has a "add printer" icon, it then auto-detects the
printer, next -> next -> done).
If your printer has already been set up, check the actual settings of
the printer (should be in the printer config GUI). With my HP Laserjet,
it refuses to print unless its set to 600 dpi (i think thats the unit -
havent looked in a while).
