[SWLUG] modem recommendations please

in an effort to avoid yet more power cables i'm looking to find an internal 
modem, having upped my server box specs recently i forgot that that meant no 
more isa modem, so any recommendations for a hardware pci modem, i've got a 
winmodem here that is detected and the proper drivers installed and all but 
just refuses to ackowledge any attempts to talk to it.

p.s. has something changed at swlug.org.uk? on first sending this mail i had:
discuss at swlug.org.uk (The server responded: "5.7.1 <discuss at swlug.org.uk>: 
Relay access denied")
never had that before when posting to here and i've not changed my mail setup 
that i can see
