Works for me.  Unfortunately I also don't know the pub scene well 
enough to suggest a suitable venue.

If it's within walking distance from the station it's probably also in 
walking distance from Parc Tawe, where there is free parking (and I don't 
think it's patrolled in the evenings so no need to worry about 
restrictions on the length of time you can park).
