Well on the night most people seemed interested. However the silence on the
list has been deafening. My personal vote would be for the Second Tuesday.
Silence means you agree. :)

I'm happy to pick up the baton on the lightning talks. However I'm getting
married at the end of the month, so I'm going to pick a date a fair way in
the future and ask quite a few other people to do bits and bobs. If any one
wants to say the following please feel free:
a) you don't want me to do it and you'll do it
b) don't do it at all
My ideas are thus, we'll go for a date towards the end of March. This gives
plenty of time to do some publicity and gives speakers time to get organised.
I think a start time of 1900 would be about right. We'll aim for about 4 - 6
speakers each having a 20-30 minute slot. 4 seems like a good number as it
allows for a bit of nattering at the end.
Who is interested in giving a talk? As long as the subject is fairly
technical anything is game.
Venue wise, someone volunteered a room at Swansea uni, could that person pipe
up and let us know how soon we need to book a room and what size room (and
what facilities are available) can be got.
Do we want to combine it with a key signing party?
Again, if I'm totally off target or people don't want me to get the ball
rolling please just say. At this stage it's all just ideas so feel free to
put your opinion forward. I'm willing to change any part of my very loose
plan.
Cheers,
Matt
