I'm having a blonde day today, my apologies.... :)

Justin, firstly I'd like to say that I am playing devil's advocate here
and I realise that it is not easy to run an organisation like this,
especially if time is not forthcoming, so apologies if I sound like a
naysayer.

I just think it's worth having this conversation, as already we are
coming up with initiatives that could very well lead to growth of the
LUG.

Great idea, sort of sub-committee members who report back to the main
'grouping' of SWLUG. Immediately that adds a format that allows
information to be exchanged if you can't get to the meeting - I've seen
stuff like this on the mailing list where the meeting was put into
digest form - lets put that on the site as well?

Perfectly understandable and I'm sure I echo the others when I say we
all appreciate the time and effort you do put into the LUG hosting. So
if we come up with topics at meetings, maybe one of us could choose to
review it and report back on the site? (Sorta like this now, this whole
exchange was brought about by discussions at the last Cardiff LUG
meeting)

Thanks for that, didn't realise it had already been (informally)
discussed already. Noted.

Of course, that is for each 'subgroup' to decide (is everybody OK with
calling the Carmarthen/Swansea/Cardiff meetings 'subgroups' of the wider
SWLUG?) It seems natural for each grouping to decide for the best - I
was just suggesting based on evidence from Tyneside LUG who moved
meetings to Saturday midday and saw increased attendance.

Overall this is a useful debate to have, and if we all chip in and come
to some sort of group/subgroup consensus about some of these issues
maybe yourself or one of us could capture that on the site?
