[SWLUG] distro for a non-technical friend

Thanks everyone for the suggestions.  I read about PCLinuxOS in a recent 
LXF which recommended it as a good starter distro.  I've only ever used 
Debian myself (for about 3-4 years) and, apart from the rare use of the 
Fedora machines in uni, have no experience of any other distro so I 
guess I would probably be most comfortable with Ubuntu?
