To my knowledge, CNAME can't coexist with any other record.

The "www" record is pretty redundant since * already points at the same
place.

My guess would be that they gave you A and AAAA records instead of
CNAMEs rather than as well as them.  Seems pretty odd to do this though,
given that there's essentially no way for them to change what IP
addresses are being used since all sorts of people will have DNS records
pointing directly at them!
