[Swlug] efi partition question

having met an insurmountable obstacle in installing a uefi version of windows 
alongside my mageia5 install (inaccessible boot device error - after copying 
the files!) i'm resorting to getting a new drive just for the win install.  but 
i'm not sure if that separate drive has to have its own efi partition or if the 
win install can use the existing efi partition that mageia5 uses, would it make 
a difference depending on the drive boot order?
