That looks good. The Python sample code from the PiShop didn't work but some I got elsewhere seems to do the biz.

This is very good. For my next task I'll have to see about getting it to work on the Raspberry Pi and the other laptop (running Raspbian). Neither of those run Putty.
Right now I'm brain dead. My day starts at 4:30AM. It's near 6pm now. I'm working 6AM til 9:45AM then 10:00AM til 12:15PM then 1:20PM til 4:15PM. It's a very much split shift with an hour added to each day for tidy-up tasks that take 5 minutes each day. As I'm running solo at the moment since my partner went missing I'm also clearing up the messes she left behind which adds to the work.
