Hi Rhys,
Generally the online meetings have been on the third-Tuesday-in-month, when
SWLUG met in Carmarthen, pre-Cofid. Logically the next one would be
tomorrow and I might have remembered to send a reminder at least an hour
before it was due to happen, perhaps picking something topical to mock,
goad; or even to try to entice people to come.
However, this month I am wrecked:
Bozo has resigned as leader of the Conservative & Unionist Party but is
continuing to party-on, which includes more dressing and up and role-play.
He spaffed about a gazillion pints (imperial) of highly processed
crustacean/diatom based jet fuel in a joyride in a Typhoon last week.
Rumours that Operation Dig-Big-Dog-A-Hole was thwarted have swirled,
blaming a wrongly held semaphore in some iffy driver code leading to a race
condition which locked out the remote deployment of the rear ejector seat
just north-east of our friends in Finland. There's also been talk of
Russian interference, links to Peerages being threatened and even worse -
whispers of a non-return Ruble policy that might mean we never see the back
of him and his ilk.
SpafferOneZero's inglorious legacy includes failing to get a grip on
climate change. We have a realistic prospect of >40C tomorrow, which is
about 1,000,007F (if my rusty American is correct). National (but
privatised) infrastructure is strained and there are genuinely serious
Alerts in place. Obviously your numpties have been fracking and poisoning
water courses to keep the air-con on, whereas we don't even have the
air-con, quite literally all we have is the Con!
I'll send out a Jitsi reminder, but attendance might be in a range of low
to one, I can already feel my legs being cooked under the desk by my 400W
foot-warmer.
