[Swlug] Morse code project

I seem not to have been all that clear. I tend to get that way after 5 days of 12 hour workdays.

I'm building a 40m QRP Pixie shortwave transciever. (got 7 resistors to put on and an aerial to make).
It has an audio socket for audio output (no speaker). It will be receiving primarily on the 7.023mhz band, Morse code.

What I want to do is to connect the speaker output to the Pi. As the output will be analogue I wondered whether I need an analogue to digital converter chip in between. There is no volume control on the Pixie as it's a carrier wave device.

I'm not quite sure how to achieve the connection. I'm probably way ahead of myself as I've not yet completed the Pixie. I do know the output from the Pi to the Pixie will be much simpler as I can use just a solid-state DC relay.

The output from the Pixie will be like this:

Coding will present another challenge altogether.
