My digital frequency counter arrived yesterday and today I sat down and did all the soldering to put it together. On power-up it showed me the display described in the instructions. That was promising! Now I shall be able to count pulses.

Today my ESP32 arrived. I hope to have time either later today or tomorrow to try the frequency counter on my Pi Pico. I'll have to download the IDE for the ESP32. 

Now that term has ended I have free time in which I am not exhausted. This coming school year I have asked to work from a base closer to my home and I shall not be doing middays. It's just too tiring to do midday runs when I'm already doing early morning and late afternoon. The extra money is nice but it's not worth the cost to my interests and my potential to develop something that might lead to better opportunities.
