[Swlug] SWLUG Christmas curry 2023?

Hi all,

It's been a couple of years, but long-suffering members will remember that,
back before the world ended, it was as Matt would say "almost tradition"
(having been 8 years in a row) that in December the Cardiff date would be a
meal at the excellent Vegetarian Food Studio in Cardiff (
https://vegetarianfoodstudio.uk/).  This year, that would be on Tuesday 12
December.

For those not aware, VFS specialises in Gujarati regional cuisine,
including traditional street food and sweets.  It has a very good
reputation that many on this list will confirm is well-deserved, and they
are very good at accommodating restricted diets.

Typically we get their group special, which this year is £25 per head,
which is quite a bit more than it has been in previous years, but works the
same as usual - we get a selection of snacks and curries served buffet
style, and a small sweet to finish (usually gulab jamun).  They do not
serve alcohol, but do welcome BYO.  (There is nominally a corkage fee, but
I don't remember ever seeing it on the bill.)

Location is about 10-15 mins walk from the city centre, about 5-10 mins
walk from Grangetown station, or less than 5 mins walk from local buses at
the cross (Pentre Street/Durham Street stops on Clare Road).  There is
limited on-street parking, but public spaces are available on the
Embankment about 200m away.
