So if 0x01 is 10%, 0x02 is 20% then assuming logarithmic decline 0x03 would be 40%, 0x04 would be 80%?

That being the case, it does look like the eMMC is pretty close to being totally failed.

I've had good value from this laptop. 8 years at $200 - $250 would be $30ish a year. 
My Macbook was not as good value.Assuming $1200 then that was $171 a year. I could almost have bought an Asus a year at that rate.

I wonder if I can re-task the screen and keyboard to run with a Raspberry Pi 3B+?
