Bizarrely I found the email with the invitation to the online meet in the Yahoo spam bin. I notice this happens from time to time. Most of the time it gets to the inbox then I notice it has been missing for a while and find it has started to go to spam.
I've been playing with Lora (https://youtube.com/shorts/fzoBspmbquk) and reading up on FEC. FEC was a bit of a surprise to me as I thought modulus 11 was still in use. Looking at the output from the receiver I notice it displays question marks. That had me wondering since when I read up on FEC it was suggested that FEC errors should be shown with question marks, whether the Lora tx/rx contains hardware FEC. They seem to be the FS1000A devices running on 433mhz.
I'm getting some 868/915mhz lora transceivers to fiddle with. Initially I just want to run a Lora packet sniffer, coupled to an SD writer. Then I can run about with that in my car for a few days and then go through the data file to see what networks I encounter between home and work; whether I can access a lorawan.
