Hi Marcus,
Rather than a book, may I suggest looking online - maybe You Tube - for
a tutorial? I saw one yesterday for Blender - powerful 3D CAD software.
The guy doing the tutorial talked about the 80/20 rule; you spend 80% of
your time using 20% of the functions so the tutorial was aimed at
showing you the 20%. Also online tutorials are often free, so it costs
nothing to have a look at them.
