Hello James

I am glad to see the small svg file does work. I can view correctly on
both desktop and phone. There are svg editors for phones, but I prefer
to use Inkscape on the desktop. I hope you realise that you can
copy/paste, move, rotate and resize the components I have drawn. Adding
more is easy enough. The initial drawings took a while, but once done
the final circuit was very quick. Just cut and paste components from the
top line, rotate and position. Add a couple of wires and its done. Of
course you can reuse by cut and paste to a different document.

I am not sure what the Hackaday pdf shows. There is info on a Github
page, but there was too much to wade through. If you need the schematic
shown then it is a png file. I loaded it on my pretty much vanilla
debian desktop, rotated 90 degrees and printed on A4. Good result.

Your comment "Exposed to what"? Well probably atmosphere. The
unprotected crystal is hygroscopic which means it will absorb water.
Some of the designs remove the protective glass in order to improve
sensitivity to particle radiation.

Regards

Alan Gray
