[TynesideLUG] Tyneside Digest, Vol 19, Issue 1

Hi Melanie
Sounds a good choice - is that ubuntu or one of its derivatives? I use lubuntu on a couple of older machines because they need the lightweight desktop to be able to run at an acceptable speed. On an even older machine I use slackware, which needs a little more work at the command line, but the reward is even more speed.
The good news is that ubuntu 19.04 will be out very shortly, this month.
I don't know if you saw Ian's reminder that the LUG's monthly meeting is Saturday at the Discovery Museum. If you are free, it is a good way to to get help / information.
I am copying this to your gmail address because there have been some problems with LUG mailing lists lately.

RegardsAlan
