Hi,

This article may be of interest:-
https://www.cyberciti.biz/tips/bash-aliases-mac-centos-linux-unix.html

Personally, I have found that I have to define bash functions to define
what I want to do.

Currently I have written:
"mkcd" - make a directory and change into it.
"rmcd" - change to parent directory and remove the previous directory.

HTH,

Ian
