[Watford] PHP

I am trying to get a handle on PHP IDEs to run on my Suse10.3 machine but
I'm not getting anywhere.  Does anyone have experience in this field? I
understand Eclipse is good but I am not bothered.  I just want to get
started and gradually work way my into this.

I used to program in ASM, Basic, Cobol, Pascal (Delphi)and a bit of C  back
in the 80s and 90s which were very easy to use but I am struggling now.
