Hi Toby,
Managed to get that working thanks to your help. Mind you I have no idea
how it worked because all I did is get it to extract to /usr/lib/lame and
then pointed audacity at it.
Interestingly, I tried exporting some sound tracks in windows using
Audacity and libmp3lame.dll but the sound quality was so naff I gave up then
tried Linux and it is very much better.

Walt - yes - try the Lame RPM as it should have everything you need
including the liblame libraries.
