Hello Jim,

Have you tried the method I used that is on the WatfordLug website?

That worked for me when using the XBMC for Rasberry Pi.

Like the others I suggest using wpasupplicant which is  a matter of:

sudo apt-get install wpasupplicant

Search through my Pi bookmarks here as most of what I used is her for
some hints:

I got wireless working on the standard wheezy too but I can't quite
remember what I did. I can fire it up with that SD card and look
later.
