Just before we left the UK my wife's laptop using Ubuntu and Macbuntu 
developed a sound problem with Skype.
I couldn't shift it and vowed to replace it with Vector Linux with its 
lighter weight desktop.

I since have done so and It works beautifully. For a lady of a certain 
age with next to no computer experience
until relatively recently, she now has no trouble flipping between 
desktops on different distros. Who said Linux
is for geeks!
