I'm using the free download edition (the 3 CD one -

and its ok. If your on a slow connection you can get the CDs from 
http://www.cheaplinux.co.uk/cat.pl?session_id=784b795d&page=Mandrake10 
for £10 (the binary CDROMs or DVD is probably what you want).
