I think you want sys-libs/lib-compat
Then symlink to the installed libstdc++-3-libc6.2-2-2.10.0.so

I have a binary package (backup exec, don't ask) that requires
libstdc++-libc6.2-2.so.3 - is there anything I can ln to that would
conceivably work?  My Gentoo install has the following -

-rwxr-xr-x  1 root root     996 Jul 30  2005 libstdc++.la

Would soft linking libstdc++-libc6.2-2.so.3 to libstdc++.so.5.0.7
work, do ya think?
