I'm unsure if this is up anyones street but a lot of the BCS events
are open to all rather than just members so I thought I'd post this
here. If anyone is interested I can post future Wiltshire events that
are open to all as well.
Please make sure you register if you want to go.
Regards
Richard

To: swindonmem at lists.bcs.org.uk
A final reminder that the next meeting of the BCS Swindon Branch will
take place from 18:30 hrs on Tue 18th March at New College, Swindon,
when John Terrington, Director of Service of Operations in the
Ministry of Defence's Directorate General of Information Systems and
Services, will address the topic of "Providing Robust Information and
Communication Services in Challenging Environments".
If you wish to attend then please do remember to register as soon as
possible (and preferably by the weekend) using the link on our website
at http://www.swindonbcs.co.uk/docs/events.asp, where you can also
find more detail about John's presentation. Light refreshments will be
available from 18:30 hrs; talk starts 19:00 hrs. Like most Branch
events this will be open to non BCS members, so please let friends and
colleagues who may have an interest in the subject know (and ensure
they too register in time!).
Looking forward into April, we are currently planning on holding 2
events to ensure that the Swindon Branch goes out with a bang and sets
a standard for the Wiltshire Branch to exceed! The first event on Tue
15 April will feature George Smith, CEO of Openkast Ltd, speaking on
the topic of "Relational Database Management Systems and SQL - a load
of Codds or just past its sell-by Date!". Further details will be
available very shortly on our website and Registration will open
immediately after the March event is over.
Regards
Geoff
