When I've suffered bad caps in the past I found I had to turn the
machine on, have it apparently do nothing or lock up just after BIOS,
leaving it sitting there for an hour, all the time getting warmer, cycle
the power and it would boot.  IOW, start-up from cold rarely worked.

Just one more thing to try.  :-)
