Hi Jayne

The issue regarding fibre optic cable is as follows. If fibre is used
ANYWHERE between your phone line and the Exchange then ADSL is not
available. So even if you have copper coming into the house if there is
fibre between you and the ADSL enabled exchange you are out of luck.
