Hi Wayne
I have my lappy dual boot XP and Linux.
Linux reads the NTFS ok, but as I was told writing to the NTFS was a bit
iffy what I did is create a shared FAT32 partition I store all my data on
this portion so it can be used with XP or Linux.

10 gig NTFS XP
10 gig Linux
20 FAT 32

hope this helps.

Just about to put Linux on another pc, but pc already has XP on it.
I was just going to use Partition Magic to resize it so I can dual boot,
but noticed that existing Windows is NTFS.
I read somewhere that Linux doesn't like writing to NTFS drives (when I
boot Linux and want to read my Windows drive).
So should I reformat the drive and install Windows on Fat 32 before
continuing?

Cheers

Wayne
