Jono,

looks like possibly something to do with the W32.Welchia.Worm (as if it 
would be owt else??) 

apparently it pings the target machine(s) before attempting to exploit 
them. The pings contain information that looks remarkably like it's from a 
Cyberkit tools 'ping' commnand
