isn't it the best - aq showed us mplayer and aalib last year and we were like 'WOWOWOW!' 

We  helped do some visuals at a club night in brum the other week, got a PC set up with a live DV cam. The plan was to  film people dancing, and they coudl see themselves 
projected as ascii, but there wasn't enough light :-(

The best thing is people saying 'Cor how do you do that?' and replying 'well first of all you need linux...' and seeing their windows faces drop ;-)

Apparently you can do ascii video on windows , but you have to save it from linux as a text file first!
