Greetings All,

Have changed my distro to SuSE 9.0 (personal).
Initial results seem quite encouraging.
It only took me half a day to get dvd support working and another half a day to figure out why slocate and consequently the updatedb command were missing. (they actually are missing - amazing - Linux without locate is like a book without an index). Although, it took some trawling to find out that SuSE calls slocate by another name, findutils-locate. Not that that information is available on the SuSE site.

Still wont recognise my bloody tv card though.

Does anyone esle use SuSE?

And does anyone know where on the system YaST puts downloaded patches? I want to copy them to cd to avoid another 70MB download in the future.
