I've tried Windows and Linux clients, both in passive and active modes -
both can get out to regular ftp sites on 21 , but a mate has a music
archive on port 2001 and I can connect , get welcome messages, log in -
but it fails on getting the data socket.
Likewise, several mates with news servers, some I can get some I can't -
they use ports like 28119, 31119 etc
