I can't really see it being a difficult thing to accomplish. I have
setup a streaming shoutcast MP3 server on my PC (was one of the first
things I did when I got my DSL). Of course, we'll want to be using this:

http://www.icecast.org/

I thought icecast had both MP3 and ogg support but obviously not.. But
anyway ogg has players for all platforms and compresses a fair bit
better, so it's the way to go :)
