[Wolves] activists linux...

I've always felt that there was an obvious synergy between the Linux /
free software movement and those campaigning about some of the less
palatable consequences of unfettered capitalism. So any move that
increases the support for and use of GNU/Linux has to be a good thing.
More than that, however, in the same way that things will only change
for coffee growers if most of us choose to buy Fair Trade coffee, rather
than a minority of us (as well as major changes to the terms of world
trade...), what will make a real change to Microsoft's market dominance,
and embed a different model for software development and licensing than
that promoted by MS, will be to get Linux to go mainstream - to get it
adopted by large firms and public sector organisations, and to ensure
that when you go into mainstream electrical shops like Currys and Comet,
you can buy a home computer pre-loaded with Linux as easily as you can
one loaded with MS software.
Sorry, I'll put my soapbox away, and stop preaching to the converted...
Chris

Sounds like a good plan, but where, how do you get the resources
together for
it? Would it be possible to get "official" bodies involved?
