Just a quick update on the morphix installation we are a good 85-95%
there. You were right about primary/slave thingy, hooked up the HDD to
the Master IDE reinstalled morphix wrenched out the HDD clubbed it back
into the laptop booted and it fires up, but, there had to be a but, two
problems it thinks its the PC not the laptop, and no X windows (I hope
thats right) message says x server crashed so there is no GUI but I can
log in and mooch around using a terminal.

Here's a good one, in the boot folder are three files mbr.packet
mbr.nopacket and mbr.txt however only morphix resides on the HDD and it
boots strait in so I take the view no boot loader is installed as the
are no entries for Lilo or Grub.

I sit on a mans back chocking him and making him carry me
and yet assure myself and others that I am very sorry for
him and wish to ease his lot by any means possible except
getting off his back!
