ADSL - you can get static ips, it's cheaper (I believe) and just as quick.

I've not experienced any problems with contention yet - I nearly always
get approx 50kbps download (the max).

ADSL also gives you more upstream bandwidth I believe...


I recomment eclipse (http://www.eclipse.net.uk)

I use a router (see http://www.solwise.co.uk for some suggestions) which
does the dialling stuff, and can also act as a firewall if necessary.
