Do Not Do This.

You have a Linux box. Use "whois whatever.co.uk" from the command line. 
Typing it into a website to do it is dangerous; some of them will assume 
from your search that you're looking to register that domain and will 
then register it *themselves* so they can charge you fifty quid for it 
rather than about a tenner.
