If we all have a sig starting with -- on a line of it's own then most
sane mailers will cut the mailman crud from the bottom of the message
cos it will see that it is a signature.

So if everyone uses a sig, even if it is only a line containing -- we
should be able to make even the top posts a little shorter and easier to
read ;-)
