The company I work for is exhibiting in an event arranged by this group of
UCE and Wimita.co.uk? Who for some reason have cat5 cables coming out of a
carrot for their PR. I guess the awareness of Open Source creeping into
business is a good thing in terms of OS taking off, I hope it's not a way of
just having meetings free lunches and not much else coming of it. Charities
and dare I say it Schools are businesses too so getting them involved in
events and things like this even small scale would be more useful.

Unfortunatly, it's the governments big idea to match education with
enterprise and get more buisness interests inside of Uni's, I can't complain
as that's where I am today, I doubt it's a new idea. Slowly and surely
education will be privitised. Wolves uni is also taking commercial interests
and I have seen the standards for students (in select courses) drop off
maybe due to other things ..... but yes it's quite concerning when students
pay, even if they don't pay ..... Uni's interests should be in students and
PR wise that's the case but not so when you start digging deep.
