[Wolves] Linux hardware database?

Is there a Linux friendly hardware database anywhere?  I tried the
various hardware reviews in the Linux comics but they are so random. 
I'm looking for something that is UK based and is a good order.  Sort
of laid out into categories like Motherboards, daughter cards (sound,
graphics etc) and drives.

Or is this a pipe dream?

I just want to upgrade the PC I'm presently using and want to support
manufacturers who support Linux.  A new motherboard is the starting
point :-)
