These systems usually end up going too far, for example advocating the
blackholing of remote sites at the routing level. Unfortunately however,
most people are not aware of the true pedantry levels of such services
and blissfully use their filtering lists.
I won't use services which arbitrarily decide for me that someone is a
SPAMer because in many cases they're far too trigger happy and risk
putting me in a situation where people can't get hold of me. I'm also
not willing to trust a mail server to throw my mail away :-).
