[Wolves] SGI and Linux kernel development.

Hiya,

Im a little confused here so im hoping that someone can help me out. 
Im browsing SGI's website since I bought my SGI O2 and I got IRIX
today, and noticed that they claim to have contributed to the linux
kernel and activly support open source. As per
http://oss.sgi.com/projects/ and http://oss.sgi.com/

I thought a while back they were taking companies to court for using
linux? what goes on, or have i missed something.
