Matt beat me to it. I was going to suggest toothpaste too. However,
there is another alternative. I have seen a product whereby you rub
this 'cream' onto the surface of the disk. it apparently fills the
scratches in but still allowing the laser to read the pits on the
disk. I'm sorry I don't have an URL for this stuff but I'm sure you'd
find it with a search. Or, WHSmith also do a cleaning disk and
scratch remover but this is only for very light scratches.
