In your nsswitch.conf you have

passwd:     files winbind
group:      files winbind
shadow:     files

which means that it will look up user and group information from AD
but not password information

Could you add winbind to the shadow parameter as well. if you make a
change and it doesn't work try restarting smbd, winbind, and ncsd.
