Hmmm, we seem to have gone off on a tangent here :-) To get the
thread back to it's original subject. At 3:00am this morning - yes,
this morning, I couldn't sleep - I decided to do a job I was planning
on doing later in the day. I sorted out a spare 6.4gb drive and
installed SuSE 9.1 onto it. Together with the second hard drive of
course. I let YAST set it up, went into the file manager as root and
changed ownership of the mount point to users - I did this with 9.2
remember. I then logged back on as a normal user and created a test
document. I then saved it to the secondary hard drive. YES!!!! I
actually saved it to the drive. Now I know that there is definitely a
fault with 9.2 I am now going to bed to hopefully sleep soundly in
the knowledge that I am slowly but surely learning how to manipulate
Linux.
12 months ago I never thought it would happen.
