Phew! I was holding back for a bit there. Glad you explained that.

Ok, I'd dump what they have, definately. I've used phpnuke and
postnuke in the past and think they're just a bit over the top for the
brief description you gave.

Might I suggest a simple blogging tool such as "Polar Blog" which I
use myself, its simple, really simple. http://www.polarlava.com/blog/

Also, if they want to have pictures of angels, clouds, fire, brimstone
and the like they might want to install gallery so you can all view
their bothering.

Both packages are rss enabled so people can easily be notififed when
the blog and gallery changes are made.
