That explains a lot.  

Yes, you DEFFO do need AGP card.  A pretty fast one.  Go for the best
one as much as you can afford.  Don't skimp.  A good one usually have
128Mb graphics memory or 256Mb (generally, the bigger the memory and
uses DDR, the better the AGP card it would be as it frees up the
memory in residence on your motherboard.

Good luck.  And by the way, I am into Flight Sims, too.  But have not
used it for quite a while.  But since now you mentioned it, made me
feel, hey, I wanna go back and have fun again!
