MessageLabs are looking for a new recruit within Team Infrastructure, working at the Gloucester Business Park, just off junction 11a of the M5. The details have yet to be officially announce on the MessageLabs website, but the basic details are:
COMPANY: MessageLabs
JOB TITLE: Junior Software Engineer
DEPARTMENT: Product Development
REPORTING TO: Technical Architect/Development Manager (Infrastructure)
LOCATION: Gloucester Business Park
SALARY: £15-25k (depending upon experience)
PROFILE OF JOB HOLDER:
Essential
=B7 Educated to degree level, in a computer related subject.
OR
=B7 Have at least 2 years experience in an IT/programming role.
=B7 Have a minimum of 1 years experience in C++.
=B7 Working knowledge of a Unix based operating system, particularly Linux.
Desirable
=B7 One or more of the following programming languages: C, Perl or Java.
=B7 Knowledge of IIS, HTTP, HTML, XML, .NET and SOAP web technologies.
=B7 Experience of System Administration on Linux/Unix.
=B7 Working knowledge of internet protocols such as TCP/IP, SMTP and POP3.
=B7 Knowledge of email systems, particularly MIME and RFC822.
=B7 Knowledge of Anti-Spam and Anti-Virus techniques.
=B7 Knowledge of RPM creation and installation.
=B7 Knowledge of at least one version control system.
